A RL friend asked me to do this scene from Tales of Republic City by DJNS (which is wonderful and every Kataanger should read)

So In case it isn’t clear, I DID NOT write this. DJNS did. I just did the crappy drawings and adjusted a few things so the text would fit.

Kya, Bumi, and Tenzin would be hanging out with their friends when he walks by them and says, “Greetings, my fellow hotmen! Stay flamin’!” And as he struts away, arms swinging and all, his kids are like Hey, not even Avatars are exempt from being embarrassing parents. Headcanon accepted oh my god FEELS

Hahaha, yeah, they mention that in the DVD commentary. 
Something to the effect of,

“Isn’t it funny how Aang mentions some silly way in which he’s going to deal with a massive problem, and you dismiss it out of hand.  And then he just goes and does it.”

it’s cuz he is da Avatar!!! and crazy super awesome ideas are usually the best ones
